Nodo 002, 2025 stems from the creative encounter between Marilù Lembo and Giuditta Vettese - a collaboration that, over the past four years, has explored textile art as a living, physical, and experimental language. On the occasion of the new Levi’s store opening, the artists present a work centered on the theme of interweaving - as gesture, as structure, and as a metaphor for connection - positioning itself within a space that blends architecture and sculpture. The knot, an ancient principle of strength and relation - an impressive form of fluid engineering long used to bear great loads - becomes the structural metaphor of encounter: it is at the point where the threads connect that form is born. In the same way, Levi’s chooses to intertwine its identity with that of the city of Milan through a project that celebrates craftsmanship and the generative power of human bonds. Twelve square meters of interwoven material unfold like a shifting landscape, transcending the simple archetype of the column. Denim, cotton, chenille, wool: fabrics typical of clothing that, once woven, give rise to new three-dimensionalities and tactile textures. Denser at the top and gradually lightening toward the base, the work’s mass is alive - born of hours of silent labor in which the artists’ bodies support and accompany the material. Nodo 002, 2025 invites viewers to read the weave as form, as gesture, and as relationship. Created with the support of Levi’s®, which shared its values and made the work possible.
